INTELLIGENT, PURPOSEFUL DESIGN IS THE STARTING POINT FOR SUSTAINABILITY AT MYKITA. TRANSPARENCY ABOUT WHERE AND HOW OUR FRAMES ARE MADE DEFINES OUR PRODUCT AND COMPANY CULTURE.
Every aspect of our eyewear design has been carefully considered and manufactured with the aim of creating long-term companions – functional, personal objects that enhance the everyday for as many years as possible. MYKITA encourages responsible consumption and works to prolong the lifespan of our eyewear through rigorous standards of quality and after-care.
Our independent owned-and-operated production facility with a fully integrated supply network is a genuine rarity in the eyewear business. Frames are handcrafted at the MYKITA HAUS in Berlin with some processes taking place at our other manufacturing facilities within the E.U. Our signature stainless steel eyewear is made of Swedish spring steel consisting of 88 percent recycled content. In 2022, we became the first in the eyewear industry to completely switch our acetate supply to the sustainable material, Acetate Renew. This is an ISCC certified process.

Following a responsibility strategy encompassing environmental and social aspects, we aim to continually reduce the footprint of our products and entire operation to set the bar for responsible design and realise our full human potential. Aware that as a consumer brand our environmental impact may never be fully neutral, we still want to amplify the conversation on this vital topic and actively take responsibility for our natural and social surroundings.
